Why did Vanessa Hudgens used to also go by her middle name, Ann?

Why did Vanessa Hudgens used to also go by her middle name, Ann?
I remember she was always "Vanessa Ann Hudgens" but now she is just Vanessa. Does anyone know why?

    cause her cousins call her anne for some reason so she used it i knew her cousin
