kinda yes and no- they record the songs in a studio and lip sync with their voice on the track since there is too much noise in the back to make it sound right
probably. it doesn't look like they were really singing. anyways...they can't sing for their lives cuz they are posers and awful singers.ughhhhh..i get so annoyed at these people who are all famous cuz they can "sing" but they're really just using a an electronisized voice as their own.grrr---it makes me mad.
Best Answer - Chosen by Voters Yes, in a sense.When shooting a movie musical the actors go into recording booths and record the entire soundtrack and such way ahead of time. It's most of the time the first thing that's done. Then when doing the scene, they play back the music and the actors mouth it.The reason it's done that way is to eliminate noise. Like when you see a scene where there are people in the background cheering and this going on over here and busy like that, during the filming of the scene everything is perfectly quite while the actors talk. The mics used are so sensitive that everything in the back would just drown out the actors.So in a sense yes they were lip syncing. As far as us being able to tell, it's because it's just a Disney TV movie. Go look at things like Hairspray or Dreamgirls. Because of the bigger budgets, they have the time and money to go and reshoot and get the angles needed to make it one fluid scene without the out of sync parts and such.
