I have a Samsung S2 1Tb 2.5 Potable Hard Drive and was wanting to play videos from it through either my PS3 or my TV (Samsung LE32B530) both of which have USB connection but, from what I am led to believe, don't provide enough power down these connections to run my S2 Hard Drive.
I was wondering if this it true and if so is there anyway around this?
I was possibly thinking of an in-line power supply that would connect my S2 to my TV/PS3 whilst plugged into the mains? Thus providing enough power?
Any ideas would be great?
Note: I already have TVersity to play videos off my PC through my PS3 via WiFi but would prefer just to plug in my S2 rather than transfer files onto my already packed PC :)
